Welcome

A heartfelt space dedicated to healing, horses and homecoming.

Welcome
Me with my greatest life teacher, Janey.

Hi, friend. I'm so glad you're here.

My name is Ava, and for most of my adult life, I was really, really good at performing. I built a career. I checked the boxes. I achieved the things you're supposed to achieve — the recognition, the title, the life that looks great on paper.

And I did it all while I quietly, methodically silenced the part of me that kept whispering: this isn't it.

I told myself I just needed to work harder. To push through. Accomplish more. Earn the right to rest. I told myself the emptiness was normal and acceptable. And that I should be grateful for what I have.

But through all of this, I didn't realize I was abandoning myself.

I abandoned my heart and its desires. Desires of wanting to do more with my time and talents while I am here on earth. I was depleted in a way that sleep couldn't fix. Disconnected from myself in a way that success couldn't touch. I had spent so many years performing my life that I had completely forgotten how to actually live it.

Then came Janey

Almost two years after my husband and I experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage, I met Janey in summer, 2025. And she changed everything.

What I quickly realized with spending time with her after being away from horses for decades, is that she didn't respond to my performance. She didn't care about my title, how much money I had, or my "achievements." She responded to the resonance inside of my heart, whether or not I was living in alignment with myself. And she cracked my heart wide open and inspired me to listen.

One of the first times I honestly stood with Janey and really let myself be open, she put her head against my chest and exhaled. And something in me broke open. Tears streamed down my face. She wasn't asking me to be someone I wasn't. And for the first time in a long time, I felt my breath and the frequency of my heart.

That moment was the beginning of what I now call coming home.

What Coming Home means

Coming home isn't about leaving your life behind. It's not about becoming someone you aren't.

Rather, it's about remembering who you were before the world told you who to be.

It's about learning to feel safe with yourself again. To trust the voice inside you that has always known the way. To stop performing and abandoning yourself. To be the artist to create your dream life.

For me, that journey has involved a lot of breathwork, body movement, plant medicine, Janey's wisdom, and a whole lot of surrender and listening. It has been the hardest, easiest, most beautiful and most sacred time of my life. It feels as though my soul is coming home, after so many years of being suppressed, she is here.

And I created this space to share it with you.

Who this is for

This space is for the woman who has spent years achieving what she thought were her dreams — and still feels like something is missing.

For the woman who is so busy taking care of everyone and everything else and has been longing to come home to herself.

For the woman who knows, somewhere deep in her chest, that she is destined for something more — not more achievement, but more abundance.

If that's you, you are in exactly the right place.

What you'll find here

Here I share honest, heart-forward writing about the journey of coming home to myself — the practices that worked for me, the realizations, the moments of discomfort and grit and how Janey naturally awakened the journey in me.

I also created a free 3-Minute Breathwork Reset as a sacred invitation for you to begin. It is a grounded, gentle reset designed to help you remember the frequency of your own heart's purpose. Subscribe below and it will be waiting for you.

You deserve to breathe. You deserve to listen to your heart's calling.

With deep love,

Ava
