The Realization of Wanting More

We are taught that wanting more is selfish. That there are people who are worse off and we should be grateful for what we have. That we are not worthy to receive everything our soul is calling, so why should we waste any time to think about wanting more?

But what if the opposite is actually true?

What if wanting more just means that your heart knows you are destined for something bigger? That there are no real "problems" in your life as it is today, but the only problem would be to not listen to the nudges from you heart that are trying to get you to realize that you actually do, in fact, want more from you life.

This is the first stage in coming home to your heart: REALIZE.

This realization can be met with resistance. And often you find yourself defaulting back to that familiar place of patterns, thoughts, habits that have kept you safe since childhood. That familiar place doesn't feel good, it doesn't inspire you, or call in more abundance, but you know how the story goes. You have control in that space. You know that version of you. And you can't imagine what life would be like if you let go of that control to actually listen to the truth of your heart.

I used to think my life would completely fall apart if I really "went there."

And yes, in a way, it does fall apart. However, friend, I promise you: what gets built in its place far surpasses anything you can imagine.

My note today is one of encouragement. One to consider listening to what your heart is trying to help you realize. Or, for some, to continue to release resistance in the realization that you want more from your life.

The universe, the divine, God, whatever term you want to give "it" wants more for you so you can express your gifts abundantly. And we need to feel your abundant gifts.

With deep love,

Ava
